Just adding Marco's two lines did the trick.
My conf.modules was empty, so I have some investigation left to see just
what's up with modules.
As to Ray's suggestion, /dev/lp* devices were present,
so I didn't have to mknod /dev/lp0 c 6 0
So Marco and Ray, thanks very much for the help. H
ybody have any ideas?
