I'm trying to get my Sound Blaster Live card to work on Linux. The card is found at boot time and there are no errors. The problem is that though I get output from a .au file, sound is very distorted with a lot of high-frequency noise. I am running Slackware 7.1 on a Dell Optiplex 800 MHZ penti
