Hi All,
When trying to ftp from offsite I can connect to my proftpd-1.2.5
server but cannot upload or download. I'm told file does not exist or
no permission, but the files and directories do exist, and I've even
tried chainging owners and permissions to 777, with no luck.
I tried to telnet t
Hi,
How do you check if a file is 0 bytes in size in a bash script. I've
seen stuff where you can check for the existence of a file, even if
it's executable, but can you check if the size is <> 0?

Hi,
Actually, just had a thought,
/lib was not in /etc/ld.so.conf. Could this have something to do with the
problem of not finding /lib/libcrypt?
I added the entry to ld.so.conf, but it made no difference.
I suppose there is a command I have to run to tell the system I've updated
ld.so.conf?

the fact that libcrypt does exist (/lib/libcrypt-2.0.7.so, or the
symbolic link /lib/libcrypt.so.1 which points to the 2.0.7.so file),

Hi,
I recently had to reinstall my system due to a hard disk failure. The
reinstall included the installation of perl-5.6.1. Since then I can't
run any perl scripts, as they all result in messages like...
