Try man dircolors.  It isn't hugely well documented, but you probably
want to go ``dircolors --print-database > ~/.lscolors'', then edit
~/.lscolors, and then add a line of the form ``eval `dircolors ~/.lscolors`''
to your ~/.bash_profile.
