I have just started using emacs. Does it do any formatting for Perl as
far as colors and indents go? I have tried loading the perl module but
it doesn't seem to do anything but make it harder to indent.

Using LaTex is there a way to get it so that I can process it inside of
emacs and maybe even view it or at the very least have it output to ps
or pdf so that I don't have to view at as dvi. ( I am also using emacs
on windows so dvi output is really a pain in the ass). I have been asked
to start documenting all the scripts that I right for our UNIX systems
and after some research decided that laTex seems like the best choice.
Is there a way to setup your own layouts? I have the not so short latex
howto is there any others anyone would recommend? Or perhaps different
software all together.
