If you're more familiar with BSD, you could get warmed up to FreeBSD, but an
entry level Linux that I would suggest is either Mandrake with the easiest
(but you have less control) installer. RedHat is decent for all levels, but
may be a little difficult for someone who has never seen Unix coming
