Hello all, I realize that I need to bring my Linux/Unix knowledge to upto speed to be able to do Oracle DB Admin.
I have to know (in reasonable detail) the following: 1. raw devices, logical volumes, cooked, etc.. 2. file systems 3. block device, raw device For eg in "c0t0d0s4" they say t is the target, but I cant find a decent administration book that explains what a target is. Can some one please suggest a good basic Linux/Unix book for learning such things. Thanks Rocky. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-newbie" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html Please read the FAQ at http://www.linux-learn.org/faqs
