Summary: PATCH: Disable write buffering on Toshiba ToPIC95 Product: Drivers Version: 2.5 Kernel Version: 3.8.4 Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P1 Component: PCMCIA AssignedTo: linux-pcmcia@lists.infradead.org ReportedBy: neme...@icequake.net Regression: No Created an attachment (id=96651) --> (https://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=96651) Disable write buffering on ToPIC95 if it is left enabled Attached is a patch that will disable write buffering on the Toshiba ToPIC95 if it is enabled by somebody (it is not supposed to be a power-on default according to the datasheet). On the ToPIC95, practically no 32-bit Cardbus card will work under heavy load without locking up the whole system if this is left enabled. I tried about a dozen. It does not affect 16-bit cards. This is similar to the O2 bugs in early controller revisions it seems. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Linux PCMCIA reimplementation list http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-pcmcia
