I'm not sure if it was announce on here already, but the newest
firmware on the PERC H200 and H700 allows use of non-Dell branded
disks. They should now show up without errors. It is not listed in
the release notes, but it was sent to us by someone from Dell and
confirmed by one of our engineers.

My guess would be Fan 5. Seeing how it's reported speed is well in
excess of the other 4 fans.

something new was introduced that is different that 6.1 that is incom

Hi Steve:
Thanks for the information you provided. It is very useful.
However, I get the following data from ipmitool on R710:
FAN1FAN2FAN3FAN4FAN5
RPM RPM RPM RPM RPM
34803360348036006720
34803360348036006720
348033603480
So I keep seeing references to OMSA 6.3 but its not available on the
linux.dell.com site at http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/
Where do I download it from? I suspect it will solve my issues getting omreport
working on the pec6100.

Ryan,
OMSA does not officially support i386 on SLES, only x64. This has always been
the case but it is much more obvious in our most recent release where we have
distribution/architecture specific binaries. Although not officially
supported, you might be able to use an i386 RHEL binary. The o
Sles 11 sp1 doesn't install either for that matter.

Hi,
I am trying to track down OMSA packages for SLES 11 (i386).
Unfortunately, it appears the only packages available are x86_64. Does
anyone know where I can obtain OMSA for SLES11 on i386?
Thanks!

We are pondering a different cloud system based on XEN offering similar on a
smaller scale than Amazon. Pricing is slightly cheaper, but not much in it.

We're basically a poweredge shop, or are becoming so as the sun
equipment ages. But, it has been proposed that we consider cloud options
going forward. After an extensive research session spanning all of
fifteen or twenty minutes, I'm not sure we'd save much going to hosted
