I have yet another question for the list. I would like to run my 7 disk
external scsi drive tower off of my dell poweredge server. The server
already has 4 internal drives on one host adapter. I can put in an
external adapter and hookup the external array and it all detects fine.
The problem that
I run a 2.2.12 kernel. Is the 2.2.11 raid patch included in that or do I
need to use the 2.2.11 patch on the 2.2.12 source tree? Or should I
downgrade my kernel? Also, as to the question I previously posted, I am
using the most current set of raid tools.

I am having a problem getting my software raid setup. I have a system
running off an IDE hdd. I have an future domain ISA scsi card hosting 7
1gig scsi drives. The scsicard and Linux detect all the drives just
fine and they are all accesible through fdisk and such. The system is
running linux 2.2
