Basically, I want my RAID to rebuild itself automatically to the
spare disk if/when something crashes.
What am I doing wrong?

mkraid: aborted, see the syslog and /porc/mdstat for potentail clues.
/proc/mdstat shows all inactive md devices.
syslog (/var/log/messages) does not show any error messages
at all.
What am I doing wrong?
Do I have to down-grade to a supported kernel?
