Hi

We seem to get these messages periodically on our setup:

PM3334UDW, PM2144UW, 14-bay rack mount DPT RAID cabinet,

Redhat Linux 5.1 with 2.1.127 kernel (happened with 2.0.35 too).

ASUS Gigabyte 100MHZ (Intel 440BX) with dual P2-400s under SMP

These message is:

Nov 9 23:00:01 imageweb kernel: scsi : aborting command due to timeout : pid 508936,
scsi1, channel 0, id 7, lun 0 Log Sense 00 f3 00 00 00 00 00 66 00
Nov 9 23:00:01 imageweb kernel: eata_abort called pid: 508936 target: 7 lun: 0 reason
3
Nov 9 23:00:01 imageweb kernel: Returning: SCSI_ABORT_BUSY

And we have had these on the scsi0 (PM2144UW with 2 UW 4.5gb Seagate) and on
(as above) scsi1 (PM3334UDW with 8 18bg 7200rpm Seagates in a single RAID5
config of 121gb).

Here are the /proc readings:

What would cause these to occur???? Should I worry about it? What do you
recommend to correct it?

Also, is the current EATA_DMA driver able to work with the SmartRaid IV
PM3334UDW? I know the driver works on the card *BUT* the stats are missing
above and the drive as Oracle8 on it and runs *TONS* of data through.

Thanks

Mark
