hello all,
I just installed raid 1 on two hard disks (using raidtools package in
redbhat 6.0)

The first hard disk has a two Gb root partition which
is the linux "/"/

sda1 /
sda3 Raid partition 1

sdb3 Raid partition 2

Now, in this config, when the secind hard disk crashes, i should eb able to
recover _ Infact I think the kernel would not even complain and tell me if
it
goes wrong...

At the same time, I have a concern that if the primary hard disk fails -
what do i do?
I have copied everything from sda1 to sdb1 (They are also of the same size)

Will I be able to restore all my data if the primary hard disk fails in less
than 5 minutes??

I understand that the linux root partition cannot be used to configure raid.
Should I do a dd if=/dev/sda1 of=/dev/sdb1 to make the other disk bootable
also??

Thanks in advance.
