I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I am trying to convert to raid
my rh 6.0 installation. I have not patched the system since I believe 6.0 is
"raid aware". I have 4 SCSI disks and I would like to mirror them. I
have partitions on drives 1 and 2 and free space on 3 and 4.

I would like to mirror everything from drive 1 to drive 3 and from drive 2
to drive 4. I created the raidtab file just for the var partition and when
I typed mkraid /dev/md0 I got the following error:

handling MD device /dev/md0
analyzing super-block
disk 0: /dev/sda5, 677872kB, raid superblock at 677760kB
/dev/sda5 is mounted
mkraid: aborted

This is my raidtab file:

raiddev /dev/md0
    raid-level 1
    nr-raid-disks 2
    nr-spare-disks 0
    chunk-size 4
    persistent-superblock 1
    device /dev/sda5
    raid-disk 0
    device /dev/sdc5
    raid-disk 1

. Any ideas?? Thanks
