I have a similar configuration. 2.2.7+raid0145-19990421 + unified ide patch
2.2.7 Hardware is Dual p166 128MB ram. 3x promise ultra/33 ide controllers. 10
8.4gig udma drives in a raid 5 array. Kernel compiled with redhat 6.0.

I crashed once recently with apparently the same error, at least as far as:
> Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address
> 00000008

I however did not get a stack trace when it failed. What do I need to do to
configure or enable this behavior? Is there anything stored on disk when that
happens? I have only booted once since then.

I didn't copy down the details, next(?) time I will.

I had been running with 2.2.3 + raid0145-199903?? + redhat 5.1 before this. I
had more than 3 weeks of uptime with that build.
