Hi,
Just recently had the same problem with the unresolved symbols in the loop.o
module.
But I'd like to add that the raid5 personality module could not resolve the
symbol "md_interrupt_thread". This problem was reported in the same way by
depmod, but I don't have the depmod output anymore.
Just make sure to build the loop device and the raid5 personality into the
kernel and not as a module.

Subject: missing symbol with raid199811110-2.0.35 and loop
Hi!
RAID is compiled into the kernel, loop device as module. I get
# depmod -ea
/lib/modules/2.0.35-warp.16.2/block/loop.o: unresolved symbol(s)
end_that_request_last
end_that_request_first
Ok, it's nothing critical - Just want to let you know (if you havn't
already)
Rainer
