Hello Everyone: I've been lurking for a while, trying to figure out what I've done wrong, to no avail. So I created a RAID 5 Array w/3 9.1 GB drives, but no matter WHAT I do I cannot format the damned thing! AH! How do I nuke what I've done and start again? Here are the errors I'm getting: [root@euskadi raidtools-0.90]# /sbin/mkraid --really-force /dev/md0 destroying current superblocks in 5 seconds, Ctrl-C if unsure! handling MD device /dev/md0 analyzing super-block disk 0: /dev/sdb, 8891620kB, raid superblock at 8891520kB disk 1: /dev/sdc, 8891620kB, raid superblock at 8891520kB disk 2: /dev/sdd, 8891620kB, raid superblock at 8891520kB mkraid: aborted [root@euskadi raidtools-0.90]# /sbin/mke2fs -c /dev/md0 mke2fs 1.10, 24-Apr-97 for EXT2 FS 0.5b, 95/08/09 /dev/md0: Invalid argument while setting up superblock proc reports: [root@euskadi /dev]# cat /proc/mdstat Personalities : [1 linear] [2 raid0] [3 raid1] [4 raid5] read_ahead not set md0 : inactive sdb sdc sdd 26674860 blocks md1 : inactive md2 : inactive md3 : inactive Can someone help me? -- Your mouse has moved.
