I tried out the 2.3 series kernel, and found that the boot support didn't
work even though I used exactly the same boot parameters. After browsing
the source for some time, I found, that the md_setup initializtion was
removed from the init/main.c, but it never reappeared in the md.c as a
__setup command. Also the type should be changed from void
md_setup(char*,int*) to int md_setup(char*). I have included a patch,
which resolves these problems and I have tested it as well as I could, and
it seems to be okay. The patch was made against the 2.3.20 kernel source,
but also patches against 2.3.23.
