Oh good grief! The Hyperdisk controller has a FIFO too. That's gotta accelerate RAID-1 performace by a few tenths of a percent on certain benchmarks. It's not like the product's only value add is that BIOS chip and the bundled software RAID. -HJC

They should not tied to any single linux distribution. Also, making the utilities easily "scriptable" is a major plus. Offer plenty of command line tools w/ options - please don't make graphical interfaces the only method of interacting with the tools. For event notification, it would be very n
