in 32-bit distros with linux
kernel version 2.6+ also before loading the vhci-hcd.ko you will have
to load a module named iocifc.ko i don't know its exact name but it
ends with iocifc. About USBIP i have no clue i haven't tried it.

Hello,
Also do take a look at the following project,
http://sourceforge.net/projects/usb-vhci/;
A concept little different from USBIP. For the time being its code is
limited to Linux kernels 2.6, it has not be ported to Linux kernel

differ, usip is more stable because its included in the kernel tree,
whereas usb-vhci isn't included you have to contact the author for
bug-fixes and suggestions i have used it for a while if any problem

To unsubscribe from this list: send the line unsubscribe linux-usb in
the body of a message to majord

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GTK_CFLAGS
and GTK_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.
The OS i am using is ubuntu-11.10 amd64.
