i use the kernel 2.4.13 + packet-cd , i can pktsetup cdrw mount with the

I would guess 2^31-1 in total, at least for bulk transfers.

I've just bought a Eridol (a roland product in fact) UM-1 usb to midi box.
Works fine under windows, but there doesn't seem to be even the beginning of
a driver for such a thing under linux.

Bulk transfers don't have a limit beyond the biggest contiguous
memory buffer you can allocate with kmalloc(). (Or maybe I
should say __get_free_pages() ...)
ISO transfers have limits imposed by USB. Look at sections

Many thanks for the hints, I downloaded jphoto and will take a closer
look at it. I've seen that the Still Image Capture Device class
uses the PTP Protocoll which sound according to the introduction
very interesting. Is anyone working on a kernel driver version of
this thing ?

I am sending for 3rd time patch with GL620USB-A driver for usbnet.c.
I have done updates and merge for Linux 2.4.13 (use FLAG_NO_SETINT).
I have done cosmetical changes suggested by David Brownell.
Can anybody add this driver to next version?

I was just thinking that if any of the USB development
core team is currently working on non-USB projects in
his or her day job and would like to work on USB stuff
closer to full-time, this might be one way to do so.
