Hello linux-usb-devel! I am having a problem with this ML-1710 printer on a usb of course. I use Debian Woody and 2.4.24-1-686 kernel.
When i plug it in this is what kernel reports: hub.c: new USB device 00:07.2-2, assigned address 15 usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 2, frame# 1393 usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=15 (error=-110) hub.c: new USB device 00:07.2-2, assigned address 16 usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=16 (error=-110) hub.c: new USB device 00:07.2-2, assigned address 17 printer.c: usblp0: USB Bidirectional printer dev 17 if 0 alt 0 proto 2 vid 0x04E8 pid 0x323A And this is not good. Probably because of that printer doesn't work at all. I tried to configure cups with driver from linuxprinting.org but it doesn't work. I tried to print a test page but the printer didn't do anything and the cups reported a completed job. And this is what i found in /proc/bus/usb/devices T: Bus=01 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=01 Cnt=01 Dev#= 17 Spd=12 MxCh= 0 D: Ver= 1.10 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS= 8 #Cfgs= 1 P: Vendor=04e8 ProdID=323a Rev= 1.00 S: Manufacturer=Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. What else can i try? Thank you for all your help. Cheers, Nejc -- Lep pozdrav!
