[linux-usb-devel] USB Lan device, kaweth failure in Linux:BTW

2007-04-17 Thread Roger Adair
Please forgive the continued bothersome messages. Mepis 6.5 with 2.6.15-27 does NOT load "usbcore" automatically ... nor does it even contain "usbcore" in its drivers. Is this a bug? Or a design change? Roger - This SF.ne

[linux-usb-devel] USB Lan device, kaweth failure in Linux: final note

I made some "technical errors" in moving the 2.6.11 kernel over on my first try to the new Mepis partition. One was not moving the system.map file, and a couple of others. To finish, the moved kernel now recognizes the Xircom usb-lan device and I can raise the Internet just fine. The dmesg an

Hi, I have had a problem with a USB LAN device, Portgear Xircom PGENET-10, in all Linux 386 distros since about kernel 2.6.11 . The Xircom uses the Kaweth driver. I have two older distros, Mepis kernel 2.6.10 and Kanopix 2.6.11-kanotix-7 installed. They both recognized the USB LAN and connecte
