Hi, i've done some Google-search yet i haven't found something about this issue. Probably the following has to be implemented in the kernel: Wouldn't it be possible to use a linux box as an external usb device for another computer? One would have to modify an existing usb cable in a way, that no shortage occurs and trick the chip in the linux box to respond to the other computer as a usb device. With a solution like that one could use an old computer as an ordinary external usb-case with lot's of space and different independent looking devices. The whole solution ideally would be transparent, allowing different operating systems to work with this kind of solution. I'm no experienced user with mailing-lists and the opensource-developer community. Hopefully the mailing list is the right kind of place to post a proposition like that.
