I run windows 98 and my computer was made in 1998. Per the test it does support USB, however, there is no port. I just got a printer that connects thru USB. Is there an adapter I can buy and plug it into the existing printer cable port, or do I need to get a specific USB port added to my tower?

You probably need sd_mod loaded. Read the User Guide and FAQ at http://www.linux-usb.org . BTW, you should update to the 2.4.20-20.9 kernel as the one you have will not show the other card types (assuming this is a multi-lun device), I discovered this the other day after doing a fresh install of RH
