Thank you for your help. I guess there are more than one USB controllers on the PCMCIA Card (don't know this is correct or not). But I noticed that if I remove the PCMCIA card, only bus 1 is still there. I did connect the USB hd drive. (two cases) 1) Plugged into the USB connector of 2.0 PCMCIA

Hi all, I setup a Linux server with IBM 560Z (laptop). There is an USB 1.0 controller on board. Recently, I tried to upgrade to USB2.0 with an additional USB2.0 PCMCIA card. Problem: My external USB(2.0) hard drive CANNOT be detected after I plugged it into the slot of USB PCMCIA card. What I
