I have a Canon i850 USB printer that I normally can print to with
Turboprint. However, I compiled the kernel 2.4.23 with USB support so
that I could have it utilize my USB kb and USB mouse. I also have tried
everything from adding USB printer support to disabling USB completely,
(like my old kernel) but I can't get the printer to work anymore. I have
restarted the LPR daemon, reconfigured Turboprint tried every device
under the sun from lp0 to /dev/usb/lp10 and nothing seems to work. The
only two devices that it actually gives output when I 'cat' them is
/dev/usblp0 and /dev/usblp1, but neither of those devices work for lpr.
What gives?? If there is any log that I can post that might help to
debug, let me know....
