Hi all,

I have a problem to mount the root partition on my external usb disk. I
use the kernel 2.6.3.bk1. I can boot directly on the usb disk, but in the
boot process I have this error:

VFS: Cannot open root device "803" or unknown-block(8,3)
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(8,3)
 <7>drivers/usb/host/uhci-hcd.c: ef00: suspend_hc

I found some patch to change de delay of the boot, but nothing for the 2.6
kernel.

Somebody can give me a hints or a link to configure a external usb on the
2.6 kernel?

Kernel: 2.6.3bk1
Usb device: Usb hard disk 40 gig external
Systeme: Debian Woody

thanks, and sorry for my bad english.
