Hello,

I have the problem with ZYXEL Omni 56k USB modem (hardware type).
This modem worked well, when I used it on PC with Mandrake 8.1 Linux.
But, when I installed Mandrake 8.2 Linux, the modem was not recognised
during start of PC.
These messages appeared:

usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usb.c: USB device not responding, giving up (error=-110)
hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1, assigned device number 3
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=3 (error=-110)

When I start PC without modem and after starting PC I connect modem to it,
everything iss OK. But when I restart PC with modem plugged to PC, the same
messages appear and modem does not work.

First I though, that this problem is some problem of the Mandrake, but the
same error messages I saw during the installation of Red Hat 7.3. So I
thing, that this is a problem of kernel 2.4.18. Is it true? Is it possible
to correct this problem?

Thank you for help.

Best regards

Jan Kirchner
