Hi, I bought an IrDA dongle from EBay and now it seems that it is not supported. The device is called "ES620". It's grey and as big as a matchbox. I use Debian sarge with kernel 2.6.11.
If I plug in the dongle I get the following on /var/log/messages: Aug 20 10:37:54 machine kernel: usb 1-2: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 4 Aug 20 10:37:59 machine kernel: usb 1-2: hald timed out on ep0in I assume the second message is harmless, because I get it with every USB-Device, though they work. Does anybody know if this device is supported, and if yes, what drivers do I need? And in what order do I have to load them? -- Andreas Theofilu http://www.TheosSoft.net/ --==| Enjoy the science of Linux! |==-- ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Linux-usb-users@lists.sourceforge.net To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users
