In that case I recommend creating a local repository/directory for PLF
(which I do, then it's easy to just run freshen from the CLI!!) and
setting it up as a local source in the software manager. Use an ftp

Does anyone know of the ./configure options to build apache [version
2.0.44] from source while keeping the Redhat configuration setings?
I have tried the -enable-layout-Redhat but this does not seem to give
the same settings as the rpm. The rpm is still at version 2.0.40 and
this version give a m

On this note, is there any filters that can automatically generate a

Thanks.

trying to get my many email addresses organised. I've setup Gotmail to
forward all my mail to a pop account, which Fetchmail downloads, as well
as some other pop accounts. Postfix picks them up from there and I check

Changelog etc., they are a GREAT source of support, I agree. I am testing
my rsync theory now at home. I think URPMI does support rsync mirror sources
as they are listed on the nanardon page in the mirror lists. And yo

Looking more closely it appears that urpmi can't actually compile src.rpm's
(atleast not at the moment) just resolve src.rpm dependences. However it's
still possible to produce an optimised Mandrake sy

you use the sources page

Another thing worth mentioning is that urpmi has a parallel install mode that
allows you to update your whole network of Mandrake machines with one command
from one computer. From the urpmi man doc's.

(I think you can install/use it on a mandrake system too?)
or (depending on your setup - whether you have a local X server running, are
behind a firewall, etc etc) you could use X11 forwarding over ssh to see your
