It appears that even tho i had a boot loader in the MBR MDK still had the HD
set as a ext3 partitioned drive and scewed it up (twice) as i have now
installed BSD 3 times.

I have been running mandrake 6.1 on it for a long time now faultlessly.
In the last 2 weeks I have been trying to upgrade it ( clean install )
