It looks as if IBM is following Sun. Several questions: does anyone here work at either IBM or an AIX-using site? If so, are you planning to run the open beta? And, does anyone remember the downloadable versions of Solaris (8, 9) prior to OpenSolaris? This reminds me of that. How long do you

I'm getting some interesting results from playing with the two intel graphics drivers (i810 and intel). i810 - needs 915resolution for mode setting. If it runs out of memory it turns off 3d acceleration. intel - handles mode setting. If it runs out of memory it crashes. So: With the intel dr

I have an hp/compaq d530s which has an intel 865G. There is nothing in the bios setup program indicating how much memory is allocated to the graphics chip. I have yet to figure this out too. I believe that there may be a parameter to pass to the kernel, but I'm not sure. On Thu, May 24, 2007 8:5
