Tri-boot system?

My laptop is configured as dual-boot right now (Windows XP and Ubuntu). Unfortunately, Ubuntu frequently locks up on this machine. I don't want to do a re-install only to find that hasn't helped the situation, but I'd like to add a new install to a separate partition, and see if that runs any bette
