Issue's I personally had encountered in the past with distro versions of Eclipse are that they sometimes use a native compiled, gcj version of eclipse, which isn't 100% compatible with some eclipse plugins (like the JBoss IDE plugin), whereas a normal version running on Suns JDK works fine. YMM

At my place of work, we probably have at least 50 Linux servers (mix of RHEL, Debian and Ubuntu) plus a few desktops (Ubuntu and Fedora) I can also say that I know of several Govt departments that host their websites on Linux, but I'm probably not allowed to say which ones :P Cheers, Joff.
