My undertsanding was that these devices have a receiver that plugs into
the computer (ps/2 or USB) and exactly replicates a wired keyboard &
mouse.
If I am right, then no drivers, other than the normal keyboard and mouse
driver, should be needed.

I have a Genius Wireless Twin Touch Optical Value keyboard and mouse
running on SuSe 9.1. It was plug and play. The receiver has a battery
charger and it comes with six NiMH batteries. I got it from Corporate
Consumables for $80 I think it was.
