Thanks for that, it pointed me in the right direction, it was a simple of uninstalling the old card first, stupidly left it there as a "backup". Next question the sound quality on midi files doesn't sound too great, what do people use, I used to use kmid but the version kmid2.0 doesn't produce any sound and I tried kmidi and the sound is terrible.
