Take a look at the linux on laptops site. http://www.linux-laptop.net/ It may be a model specific thing. Have you done a google search mentioning the specific model etc? Can you ssh into it when it has hung and look at the logs? Does the trackpad work without the mouse attached? On Sun, 02 F

I would love to find out why installing a serial mouse on my laptop (RH7.2, 2.4.xx) means touching the touchpad freezes the keyboard. Serial mouse works fine. Keyboard works fine, but touch the touchpad accidentally and you are locked out. Pretty clearly the touchpad is using some PS/2 protocol
