i'm running ubuntu (still 5.10). went to system->preferences->screen resolution. this can't be altered from 75HZ for some reason? there aren't any other options to set it to. resolution is currently 1280x1024. how would i find out the 'native resolution'? cheers > Make sure the refresh is no high

First off, ensure that you're driving the monitor properly. Make sure you're not just running it with vesa or similar drivers, and update nvidia or ati to the latest proprietaty ones. I also had (have - see another post!) problems getting my new monitors to run at all - as they were native 144
