Hello,
I wish to enquire as to the compatibility of my Webcam, a Philips
SPC210NC/00.
I have had this webcam for many years but now have only decided that it
might come in useful for
communications via the internet. Please can you advise.
Many Thanks
Dave

Hi all,
I have a MSI U130 netbook with a built-in 1.3M pixels webcam.
Unfortunately, however, this webcam is not recognized by uvcvideo
driver. Can anyone help me to enable it up? Thanks.
Btw, my kernel version is 2.6.33.1.

Linux-uvc
does know of a
way to get this feature working under Linux, some added guidance on how
to do this would be spectacular.
Thanks for your time and assistance. Please keep up the good work!

Obviously I do not give a hoot about the chat and show software, I just
would like to get the cam to work in Linux.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Using kernel 2.6.25.4 and uvcvideo's latest SVN (r212), I get this error
after a few minutes of running motion:
uvcvideo: Failed to resubmit video URB (-45)
After that message the video transmission hangs.

Hello,
Sorry, but I did not manage to know it yet.
In the output of lsusb -v , where is the key to know whether the webcam is
UVC, gspca, or other?
Thank you.

This work great for me!

PS: Laurent, could this patch be added in SVN with just a define to
activate it?

Hi Laurent,
Tried it and it work with my Logitech Fusion.
But I can't change resolution, always in 1024x576 in YUV format !
I tried to set 352x288 (MJPG) but it always select 1024x576 YUV format !
If you know how to change this behaviour, I'm ready to test more. ;-)
Regards,
Davi
is on hold. Is there somewhere specifically in the code where I
can look in the uvc driver for any timeouts for video streaming, or
do any of you have any other ideas for what might cause this behavior?
Thanks!

I've found myself in possession of a sn9c201 and I saw that there was

this is weird. So my question is is my entry listed above correct?
Are there certain parameters I need to supply that I haven't? And if
I am certain this is a UVC device how do I go about coercing the
uvcvideo driver to agree with me? Also is there

You might want to consider the Point Grey Firefly MV. It's about
$200, uses firewire, has a standard lens mount, is more reliable, and
delivers better picture quality than most webcams.

uvccapture manages to get a snapshot but all other programs fail (ekiga,
