It sounds weird, but I can't rule that out.

Hi,
I've tested booting with different kernels
and everything worked just fine.
I believe now this is definitely related to
the kernel upgrade process in Ubuntu.
Something I also noticed with my camera
(Sphere AF) is that after booting, the first time
I start the camera it takes at least seven sec
Hi,
I've tested this again, and I can confirm that in my case the problem
only occurs
after the first boot folowing a kernel upgrade.
Best regards

Laurent,
Thought I would have a go at compiling a new version.
Downloaded from the new site, rmmod uvcvideo, did a make, make install.
Did not see a single error come up.
Did a,
modprobe uvcvideo
FATAL: Error inserting uvcvideo
(/lib/modules/2.6.28-rc6-wl-W/kernel/drivers/media/video/uvc/uvcvi

Laurent,
Not in my case.
I have to do an rmmod/modprobe after EVERY boot.
I noticed you also said it was fixed in 2

I can confirm this problem, except in my case I do not h
Just an update,
I've now upgraded to kernel 2.6.27-10 and I still get the same behaviour.
Also I forgot to unplug the camera (Sphere AF) during the upgrade process
and once again the camera just died after first boot, I had to unplug it and
rmmod/ modprobe uvcvideo in order to get it working.

Hi,
While performing some tests on the latest svn revision of guvcview
I've notice some strange behaviour from the uvc driver dispatched
with Ubuntu latest kernel (2.6.27-8).
After starting guvcview in MJPEG mode everything is working fine, I then
proceed into changing the imput mode to yuv, also e
