Hi, I've just received a new MVME5100 board and I'm trying to boot it under linux. I have downloaded the linuxppc_2_4_devel tree from the bitkeeper repository. I have compiled a kernel from the mvme5100_defconfig with a few modifications. I'm trying to boot it with nbo under ppc bug. Nothing oc

I am also using an MVME5100 it works so far except with the new 2.4.9 devel tree I can no longer build a zImage.initrd. make zImage.initrd completes and is happy, but I never find the file in the tree anywahere. I have cheked pp3, prep, common, simple and images. The most I can find is a vmlinux.

Hi All I am getting an Oops: Kernel access of bad area, sig: 11 on linuxppc 2.4.8 when I telnet (4-5 sessions will do it) into my board(custom mpc860 board) If I use Montavistas linux-2.4.2_hhl20 kernel it works(no Oops). Any idea's? Jocke PS. It seems to me that ioremap_base and ioremap

I have HHL2.0 installed on a Redhat 6.2 host and need to get Samba running for a IBM PPC405GP (Walnut) System. Is there a good source of information available on how to go about doing this? Does someone have a configuration file that sets up for this environment? I've looked through the man pages
