Just a quick thought... where are you located? This sounds like an
international supply of some type 240V 50Hz only. That would most
definitely prevent it from doing much of anything if you're in the states.

There are a few documents here and there on the drive, though nothing as
interesting as those that you found! I realize now that due to the style
and age of the drive, that the sounds are definitely normal. I just forgot

After putting two and two together, I knew the Widget had a controller

the Lisa, I discovered that Apple had used the cheaper style of IC sockets
on the boards, stamped vs machined contacts. The machined sockets don'
My Lisa 2/10 came as it is (just got it from a previous owner, who got
it from a garage sale I think), and the P.O. said that the drive would

Actually, the problem is that I don't think the drive controller and the
Lisa are talking on a normal basis. Only one or two of the many times I've
tried to boot have been successful in getting any sort of error message.
The rest of the times, the machine acts as if it's a Lisa without a har
I've got an update regarding the problem with my Lisa's Widget. It
appears that if the drive is disconnected, the system will go straight to
the boot process, but when connected, the system hangs at the rectangular

I sent the IDEfile guy an email yesterday. Do you want to build one? I'm

Greetings,
After quite a bit of waiting, my Lisa has arrived! I am currently in
the process of dismantling everything in order to clean it up, as it looks
like the outer casing was dirty wherever it had been kept at some point. I

Greetings,
I have been looking around eBay at the various systems being sold, and I
was curious if anyone might be able to provide insight on the various model
numbers used to identify the systems. My goal is to end up with an original

Greetings,
I am currently looking around to find myself a Lisa. I was curious if
anyone on list had one they were looking to part with. I haven't seen any
lately on eBay and would rather find one somewhat locally, if possible. I'm
located in Columbus, Ohio currently. At any rate, I am r
