HTML: The Markup Language
W3C Editor¹s Draft 14 November 2008
This specification describes the fifth major version of the HTML vocabulary.
It provides the details necessary for producers of HTML to create conformant
HTML documents. By design, it does not describe related APIs nor attempt to
describe how consumers of HTML are meant to process HTML documents.
This document HTML 5: The Markup Language currently has no official
standing within the HTML Working Group nor within the W3C as a whole. It is
at this point only an Editor¹s Draft being made available for review, with
the understanding that it is at a very early stage of development and that
the group may choose to decide to not move forward with further development
on it at all.
