you also need to look at what sort of journey it is everyday. is it highway
driving, or stop start? regenerative braking will help you gain a small
amount of range. also, converting a cruiser, with the hard side bags will
give you a small amount of room for batteries. it all adds up

the next thing to look at could be whether running a belt drive could also
aid in power transmission. no slack=no power sag when you twist your
throttle
measure the weight of your rear wheel, sprockets, disks, chains etc, and you
could use an equation to find out how much horse power is used to
and
not as compact as a pancake perm. mag. motor like the etek, lynch, or
perm. It can take a lot more continues amps though and since there are a
long of long steep hills here in Colorado I felt better about it. The
guys at www.canev.com did a bike with the sepex.
