tutorial from the old scooterevents/forums and the old
visforvoltage (both lost in time) and cant find them.
If I remember correctly, Taking off the back for the

thanks for the info that make me feel a little better, hopefully with two eteks
in my next bike i won't over work them.

Cedric Lynch who designed the motor on which the Etek is based, is a friend
of mine. He made extensive tests of the etek and knows it's limitations.
If you go much over 300 amps then the efficiency falls off a cliff.
The motor has been 'value engineered' down to a specific cost/performance
For those of us using the Etek motor.Which direction should the forced air cooling be routed? Towards the brushes or pulled thru the motor first, across the brush end? I have a 4 inch cpu fan on it now, with a 6.5 inch ready in the box (with a shroud.)Any thoughts? Thanks Paul

As far as directions, it is generally desired to have the fan blow
air over the armature, then the commutator. The comm is more
sensitive to dirt and debris. Getting dirt blown right at the comm
while operating can potential scar the comm and damage it if dirt
gets under the brushes.

more, but don't remember seeing one on the Briggs Stratton site. I found a
