Do you mean Barlow or Bartow? If Barlow, you can find documentation
for a Barlow 17 (and several other models as well) on my ftp page.

I have a model 16 Bartow winch on my mizzen mast that I can't figure out
how to get it apart. All of the other Bartows (the small ones) have an
allen screw in the center and are easily disassembled by removing that
screw and lifting the drum off. When I look down the center on the
model 16 I
