Well, Zyn has filter and other controls that work in mid-note, but yes,
using an external effect would be the only way to do it right now.

Will no instrument plugins be able to play above 100% volume or is it just

I am strongly against removing support for >100%, at least for all plugins.
I would go for option 2, or even better, option 4.

And why do you use RC1 and not 0.4.14? I can't expect the RC version to be
without bugs. Go ahead and test it with 0.4.14 or the new versions and see
