This entire issue with Ubuntu would be non-existent if lmms was released prior to the feature freeze. Let me explain. There is a file in the Debian packaging called watch. This file looks at sourceforge for any new tarball. If that tarball exists, then it is automatically added into the Ubuntu

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think we need to revert back to 1.0.0 and fix to build for 14.04. Tell Ubuntu Studio to please download 1.0.0-stable. If there are 14.04 specific changes, I'd like to see them. Perhaps we can commit to stable.
