You should be fine then.

No, those were simply those versions available. The wiki doesn't state a

On ubuntu 14 (point something), I got it working with 1.6. Do you mean that

It seems this discussion is relevant, as I'm going to have to reinstall all
the dependencies from scratch. I should have less issues this time though.
Is wine 1.6 or 1.7 recommended?

Basically - we cannot *possibly* be the first project to have this problem.
Therefore, there should be examples (successful and unsuccessful) we
can look to.

I can't find the thread we first discussed this, but this is why I had
initially recommended a large drive with a large persistence area. The

I think I'm out of space, but there are tutorials on getting a bigger
permanent storage so I'll do that and then try to transfer my data. Worst
case scenario I reinstall the dependencies (should be easier this time).

Perhaps the USB drive wasn't a good idea after all. Sounds like something
broke.

At this point, I think the problems are well beyond LMMS ... first hit
a general Ubuntu board (askubuntu is the official one, and they're a
very helpful bunch), and once you have a well-behaving system, then
try building LMMS on it and things should go smoothly :-)

I got it to build and got my code to work, but now Ubuntu won't launch. I'm
not sure whether to discuss this here or in a new thread. I tried to get an
image editor so I could post a screenshot of my progress, but it filled up
all the space I had left. Then I did apt-get clean, autoclean, and
